Tanking Slurry from Build and Plumb http://www.buildandplumb.co.uk/rss/1/productlistings/tanking-slurry/cat70 <h2><span style="font-weight: 400;">What is Tanking Slurry?</span></h2> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Tanking slurry is a high-performance waterproofing solution designed to create a robust barrier against water ingress in masonry, </span><a href="https://www.buildandplumb.co.uk/building-supplies-c21/building-materials-c828/bricks-c881"><span style="font-weight: 400;">brickwork</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, and </span><a href="https://www.buildandplumb.co.uk/building-supplies-c21/cement-concrete-c245"><span style="font-weight: 400;">concrete</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">. This cementitious coating penetrates the porous structure of walls and </span><a href="https://www.buildandplumb.co.uk/doors-floors-c285/flooring-c283"><span style="font-weight: 400;">floors</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, forming a permanent waterproof layer that effectively blocks both positive and negative water pressure.</span></p> <h2><span style="font-weight: 400;">How to Apply Slurry Tanking</span></h2> <ol> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Surface Preparation</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">: Clean the substrate thoroughly and ensure it is sound, free from loose material, and pre-wetted for best adhesion.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Mixing</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">: Combine the tanking slurry powder with clean water, following the manufacturer's guidelines, to achieve a lump-free, consistent paste.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Application</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">: Apply the slurry using a brush, roller, trowel, or spray equipment. For most products, two coats are recommended, with the second coat applied while the first is still damp.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Curing</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">: Allow the slurry to cure as per product instructions, ensuring adequate ventilation and avoiding rapid drying for uniform hardening.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Finishing</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">: Once cured, the surface can be rendered or plastered as needed</span></li> </ol> <h2><span style="font-weight: 400;">Why Choose Build &amp; Plumb for Tanking Slurry?</span></h2> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Our range includes top-quality options such as KA Tanking Slurry, </span><a href="https://www.buildandplumb.co.uk/bond-it-m270"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Bond It</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> and other trusted brands, ensuring you find the right solution for every project.
