Workwear shoes don't have to be ugly. Our collection of safety shoes comes in colourful and contemporary styles while protecting your feet from scuffs, bumps and falling objects.
What are safety shoes?
You can class a shoe as a safety shoe when it has specific reinforced features that protect your foot while working in industry. For example, it can have toe protection to protect your toes from falling objects. They also have reinforced mid-soles for penetration protection against stepping on nails and other sharp objects on the floor.
How to choose safety shoes?
Choose your safety shoe based on your industry and the protection you need while working in that industry. For example, you will need toe protection if working in a warehouse. But, if you are an electrician, you will need a composite reinforcement as a steel-or aluminium toe-capped workwear shoe will conduct electricity. You can also choose shoes with oil-resistant, anti-static, waterproof and heat-resistant properties.
When should safety shoes be replaced?
If you wear your workwear shoes every day, they can wear out quickly. The general rule of thumb is to replace them every six months or if they get damaged and no longer function as safety shoes. All our workwear shoes have cushioned soles, so when the cushioning stops providing the support you need, they start to hurt your feet, and you know it's time to replace them.
