Introducing the Pavestone Discovery Porcelain Paving������������������������������������������������������the largest tiles in the Pavestone collection. These expansive patio slabs provide a seamless and luxurious flooring solution, ideal for minimalist and contemporary garden designs with ample space. Featuring a light textured finish, these tiles are hard-wearing and require minimal maintenance. Available in four stone colors, they can complement any outdoor aesthetic.

For precision and consistency, 'Rectified' porcelain paving is utilized, offering minimal size variation within each batch. The tiles are precisely cut after firing, with a typical size variance of just +/- 2mm.

Please note that while the nominal tile dimensions are 1200 x 600mm x 20mm, actual dimensions may vary by up to 5mm. However, within each batch, the variation will only be +/-2mm. It is recommended to use tiles

  • Finish: R11 Anti-slip for a secure grip in damp and wet conditions
  • Resistance: Weather changes, acid and alkali chemicals, moss and algae growth, and color fading

Installation Advice:
 
Porcelain patio paving tiles are rectified to give a calibrated dimensional accuracy; allowing for closer jointing and creating the appearance of one large uninterrupted, seamless surface of stone flooring.
 
A rectified floor tile is one whose edges are perfectly vertical with respect to it's surface. This is a result of precise machining of a regular unrectified tile, so that each of the four sides will be at a 90������������������������������������ angle to the top and bottom faces of the tile.
 
Lay them on an MOT Type 1 or GSB aggregate sub-base with a geo-textile covering, using a 5:1 sharp sand : cement ratio for a 40mm wet mortar bed. Cut tiles with a 'Diamond Porcelain Cutting Blade' using water dust suppression on a hand tool or table saw. Apply a Priming Slurry to the underside of each tile before lay 
Porcelain is manufactured in batches and the colour and texture can vary from batch to batch. It is therefore essential to lay the paving by mixing the tiles from different packs. This ensures that the overall desired hue is achieved and evens out any slight colour discrepancies. Laying your patio one pallet at a time can lead to slight but visible colour banding.
 
Keep note of the 'batch code' on the packaging (usually a number followed by a letter or a six-digit number) in case you need more porcelain for future extensions or completion of your paved area.
