Our wood oil finish
Create stunning finishes on all your home and garden wood surfaces and furniture. We have specific exterior wood oil that protects garden furniture and decking from the elements. It restores wood after weathering and prevents wood from greying and splitting. We also provide interior wood oil for indoor furniture, worktops, stairs, doors and floors.
What is Danish oil?
Danish oil is a unique blend of natural oils and resins, for example, tung oil or polymerised linseed oil. It is a hard-drying oil, hardening into a solid form when reacting with oxygen. So, it can provide a hard-wearing, water-resistant satin finish.
What is Danish oil used for?
Danish oil is primarily for enriching the wood grain, restoring the natural finish and protecting the wood from scuffs and scrapes. Use Danish oil as a waterproof finish for your interior or exterior furniture. Or, you can use it as a primer on bare wood before applying paint or varnish.
How long does Danish oil last?
Danish oil can last for two to three years, depending if you store it properly in the tin. Make sure you reapply the oil every six months to two years or when the finish begins looking dull.
